Enriching the workspace with Biophilic Design
In light of the effects of the workspace environment, Covid 19 has enlightened most of our workspace design Delima in fostering a workspace that makes everyone feel good efficient and excited to be in their workplace. As people have become more accessible in leisure over the previous years before the pandemic. They have slowly emerged by adding small features to their desk from personal items to incorporating indoor plants. Slowly emerging from what we call green design to now, Bioliphic Design.
Biophilic design brings natural elements into the workplace, such as plants, water features, and natural lighting. Although this technique has yet to enter the mainstream, many experts believe the rich benefit will lead to its popularity.
Physical Health
By integrating plants into the workplace environment, either in pots or as living green walls, it is feasible to dramatically enhance air quality since vegetation absorbs pollutants, poisons, and airborne microorganisms such as mold spores and bacteria.

Make You More Creative
According to a series of research conducted by Exeter University, employees were 15% more productive when “lean” offices were filled with only a few houseplants, since employees who actively connect with their environment are more efficient and creative workers.
Mental Wellbeing
It is believed that the majority of individuals in the industrialized world spend up to 90% of their time inside buildings and automobiles. However, according to the UK mental health charity Mind, going outside in green areas or incorporating nature into daily life can help reduce feelings of stress or anger, making individuals feel calmer and increasing their confidence and self-esteem.

Feel better and happier
Not unexpectedly, biophilic aspects help us feel more optimistic. Good individuals have a positive influence on others, are healthier, and take better care of themselves. Another factor to consider is that they are less likely to be away from work due to illness, so if you are still on the fence about incorporating biophilic features into your workspace, think about the influence it may have on decreasing absenteeism in your office.
Recruit and retain top talent
Having a deliberately planned, beautiful workspace that is full of natural light and biophilic components reflects who you are as a company. It also conveys a strong statement about your social consciousness and green credentials, as well as your concern for your coworkers. We spend a significant amount of time at work, and we want it to be a good experience.
Productivity
Natural light, through increasing the production of melatonin, has an unexpectedly large function in increasing employee productivity. This hormone governs people’s sleep-wake cycles and, as a result, has a significant impact on their energy levels.
Lighting System
Circadian lighting systems, which alter color temperature and illumination throughout the day, may also be utilized to guarantee employees feel more alert and energized in workstations where natural light is not the primary source.

As we all emerge in a hybrid office set-up due to the pandemic, it is also the best time to look beyond our office setup in our previous years, and be able to adopt applying Bioliphic Design in the workspace, as we welcome each individual to be at the office and one great way to start is to find the right designer for you and see what things we can apply in your workspace.
